Steven John Weed was born in Ann Arbor, Michigan. He is an Actor, Writer, Director and film editor. He studied film and contemporary theater at Washtenaw Community College and began acting shortly after. In 2017 he wrote, starred and co-directed the film 'Residents' which was released in 2017 and premiered at the Michigan Theater in Ann Arbor, Michigan. He then starred in the award winning film 'Midnight Light', directed by Peter Herold, which screened at the Westfield International Film Festival and received a Best Actor nomination for his role. The film was also a nominee for Best Short narrative drama. The following year he moved to Brooklyn, New York and starred in the short film 'The Flower on the Road'. The film premiered at the LA Under the Stars FIlm Festival and won the audience choice award in 2021. Steven has garnered success and notoriety in acting in the Metro Detroit area with films such as 'Cut Throat' in 2022 directed by Dolores M. Flynn, 'Neutrals' directed by Jacob Horne and the Tubi series 'Street Legal' Season One. In 2024 Steven starred in the film 'MIA' which premiered in New York. The film, inspired by true events, was written and directed by Petros Georgiadis. Stevens knowledge of all aspects of filmmaking both in front and behind the camera allows him to freely explore and push the boundaries of storytelling. Steven often explores stories centered around human conflict and explores depth and complexity in various symbolic ways.
