The esteemed artist Awaatif Al-Salman is one of the distinguished actresses from the seventies era. Her artistic journey began on the shores of the Arabian Gulf in the vibrant city of Basra before she set forth to Baghdad, where she continued her artistic career, defying numerous challenges and solidifying her presence in various outstanding theatrical, television, and cinematic works. Awaatif Al-Salman entered the world of art in 1974 in Basra, debuting in a play titled "The Walls" and later in the play "The Renaissance," directed by the artist Abbas Al-Harbi. In these productions, she showcased remarkable acting skills. The Basra-born artist also participated in five cinematic films, with notable contributions to the film "100%" directed by Khayriya Mansour, "Time of Love" directed by Carlo Hartioun, and "Unfit" directed by Adi Rashid. During her visit to Oman as part of the Ministry of Culture delegation for a cultural event, our correspondent Faiqa Rasul Sarghan had the opportunity to meet Awaatif Al-Salman.
