Kazakhstani Russian-speaking rapper, singer, beatmaker and producer. Father, Huseyn Mammadov - Azerbaijani; mother, Lyazzat Mammadova - Kazakh, from the kind of Naiman. He was fond of rap since childhood. He studied at a music school in the saxophone class. He studied at the faculty of musicology and management of the Kazakh National Conservatory named after Kurmangazy. In 2009, he was a member of the "Satan Bakes Pancakes" group. He worked with many Kazakhstani rappers as a beatmaker and sound producer, including Introvert, PR’OXY, Santos, Antrax, Hiroshima and others. Starting a solo career, he took the stage name Jah Khalib. According to him, Khalib is a made-up name, and Jah (Jah) is the name of God in Rastafarianism. He became widely known thanks to the social networks where his tracks were distributed. Among his first works, Your Sleepy Eyes, SnD, Burning to the Ground, and You for Me became the most popular. Jah Khalib soon became known not only in Kazakhstan, but also in other post-Soviet countries. In 2016, he released a full-fledged solo album “If Th, I am Bach”. In the spring of 2017, he shot a video for the composition "Layla". In 2015 and 2016, he was included in the list of stars of show business and sports of Forbes Kazakhstan magazine. In June 2017, he became the laureate of the Muz-TV 2017 Prize in the Breakthrough of the Year nomination. In 2018 in Moscow he received his first “Golden Gramophone” for the song “Medina”.
