Biography

He completed his first bachelor's degree in Cinema and Television as the top of his class; his second bachelor's degree in Acting at Beykent University Faculty of Fine Arts. He participated in various workshops with prominent figures such as the English theater group Propeller Theater Company, Jean-Jacques Lemetre, Kathryn Hunter, Johan Petri, and Daniel Irizarry. He was nominated for Best Supporting Actor at the 2014 Intercollegiate Theater Festival for his role as Yannis in the play "Harikalar Avlusu." He performed in the play "Elektra" directed by Işıl Kasapoğlu at the Istanbul State Theater. He attended workshops and studies on Meisner Acting Technique with Steven Ditmyer at the Metropolis Theater in Berlin. Most recently, he took part in the play "Y is A Question I Keep Asking" at Berlin HB55 Kunst Fabric. Uzay Gökhan Irmak, who also works as a Drama Instructor and acting coach, won the Best Actor award for his role as Uğur in the film "Akif" at the 39th Villebourne Film Festival. He is continuing his master's degree in the Theater Department at Haliç University Graduate School.
